HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Y'ALL!

Some things I forgot ot mention on that last entry:
I've decided that once I get out of the house, and financially squared away (yeah, right :) ), I'm buyin' a nice warm hooded cloak. Sure they're expensive, and look a little wierd among the jackets and coats of the world, but WHO CARES! The world needs more hooded cloaks. :)
RE: The New ST:TMP DVD - I liek the new sound mix except for TWO sounds - the new Klaxon sound is wimpy. Not urgent at all. I liked that old BWAT BWAT BWAT sound it used to have...and the engine room has this TNG pulising sound to it instead of that really coooooool rumble it had before. Now excuse me while I wash that Trekkie right outta my hair. :)

Thanksgiving Dinner...as per my mother, was served at about Noon. I'm guessing it's really a Thanksgiving Brunch for us. How many other people eat Thanksgiving Dinner that early?

Anyways, My Uncle Steve came over with his kids, my grandmother and Uncle Rick.

Creepy Uncle Rick.

He bugs me. A lot. He's a "one upper" always butts in with a fact he made up from thin air. A compulsive liar. And he FOLLOWS YOU AROUND EVERYWHERE. He won't let you go. You can't lose the guy. And he has this...creepy vibe...to him.

We all sat down, and ahd a nice dinner...Turkey, Ham, Greenbeans, potato casserole thingy. I know I'm really down on my mother, bu she can cook QUITE the spread. She'd spent two days on the feast, and it came out to perfection. Expecially the deserts. Did I mention the sugar galzed pecans? I hate pecans with a passion - but she glazed them in some sugar butter glaze and they're TASTY. No to mention the apple pie (not quite an Amish apple pie, but close enough), and the Tremendous-It-Wouldn't-Be-Thanksgiving-Without-The Fruit Salad. Mmmmmmmmmm.....good cookin'.

AndI got the same ribbing I get every year: "Why aren't you eating more?" IT's mostly because I don't believe in stuffing my gourd to the point where it's painful to move.

After that, my computer lost ANOTHER limb - where my video capture card (I finally got Win95 on the machine, with about 50MB of space left on the drive) has decided to kick the bucket as well.

I just can't win for losing electronically, can I?

Tonight I take my last pills. and go on involuntary artificially induced Menopause...this is gonna be trippy. :P I need to see my doctor, and get more pills. ARGH! Stupid Economy - get better already!

At least I wont lose what I already got.... :)
