Okay, not gonna say what did or didn't happen, since I can't get a straight answer.

But this much is certain - you saw rules break tonight in the name of controlling women...remember that when you vote next election Texas Women.

Also, I live in freaking Austin. As much as I love Craig Ferguson, howsabout some local news on the subject?

I'm realy big on not getting my news from Twitter and Facebook and what not. Tonight, though? ONLY PLACE I CAN GET IT. #andIliveinaustin

Sorry for all the politics, guys. A few of you may not know this, but I was fairly activisty before I moved to Seattle. Once I got there, there wasn't anything for me to protest about, so I got quiet.

I do try to keep politics and religion off my blogs (I'm not going to convince people who are opposed to my beliefs, and those that follow my beliefs don't need the pursuading). But Texas politics is dirty politics. I try to call that out.

@ChristopherDiDo is doing a bang up job reporting on all this #sb5 stuff and even interviewing senators via UStream. Amazing job on a night when the news media dropped the ball.

And it's official. "Senate Bill 5 cannot be signed in the Senate at this time, and therefore cannot be invoked." I think that's what was said.

Texas has always been in a wierd political situation, where it's VERY hard for the citizen to do anything politically outside of their own legislator, especially if they've been redistrcted out of representation. SB5 was a great example of most of the legislators NOT LISTENING TO THE PUBLIC.

The public won becuase some of the legislators listened and worked with the public to make it happen. THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN WITH ALL YOUR LEGISLATORS. They need to hear you, not the party line.

Remember this next time you vote, Texans. Vote the one who will listen to you, not the party liners.

And now...goodnight.

Quote of the night. And a VERY important question to the Texas Legislature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWAOI6x8qus #sb5 #standwithwendy

Bedtime. I'll be a little more apolitical in them morning. I promise. :)

It's the day after the fillibuster. DOMA and Prop 8's legs were cut out from under them. Awesome.

Now what will you do TODAY for TOMORROW?

Conondrum. I will most likely have a job next week. Big company, pay not good. I also am up for a job in a smaller company, pay better, but less chance of getting hired. How do I hold onto both chances, so I can stay in the running for the better paying job LATER? Suggestions? Advice?

Well. It's for SUBSTANTIALLY less that I wanted (I haven't been paid that rate since 2000), but I have a job. I start work 7/8.

A Republican constutuent on the radio is calling out the Republican attempt to change the vote time as "unamerican." More please.

There's a thought. The job is either, work in an office in Austin, or work from home from wherever. I could conceivably move somewhere where the pay is equal to the cost of living.

I have property near Kerrville. It's not Austin, but it's got good internet, and the cost of living is VERY low.

Indian feast to celebrate SB5 defeat, DOMA win and getting a job even if it's not in my pay range.

Full disclosure: "I once wrote a 'Good Job' letter to Rick Perry for being the only politician to act during the first hours of Katrina.
