Hoping to have the comics and streams FINALLY back up by January. Along with a website redesign. I usually used December as a "month off" dating back from when I'd spend Thanksgiving and Christmas back in Texas during my two month layoff from Nintendo. Hoping to use that month now to build up a backlog and finish some personal project.

No promises, cause I have a TOUGH time keeping those things, but I'll give it a good try!

You know, after eating a few of my flour tortillas, which are the same as my mom's and grandmothers, that we don't make them like everyone else.

Most places I go, I complain that the tortillas taste "raw." Like I'm eating barely warmed dough. Mine are very thick, pliable and fluffy, and taste "cooked through."

Wonder what makes the difference. I know mine have baking powder in them, but a lot of recipes I've seen use baking powder.

Music Before Bed: I wasn't a big nightclub person, but there were a few visits to the gay bars in Austin in the 90s. Everytime I hear this, I think of those days cause the music sounds like what I'd hear playing for the folks on the dance floor.

I don't really like to dance, and I don't drink, so nightclubs weren't really my thing. I did like the music, though.

The final verdict:

The Thai Pasta Salad was absolutely fantastic. Gonna make that again.

The Spicy Chinese Pork I need to remake. It was good, but I thought to myself, "It coulda been sweeter." Then I remembered that it WOULD have been sweeter had I bought Hoisin sauce for it. Instead I used Oyster Sauce, which is not as sweet, and is fairly salty.

The Cheddar Potato Soup is....serviceable. If you need nutrients, it'll get you there. Smells like feet, though, and tastes bland. It's not terrible. But not something I'll seek out again.
