Aug. 4th, 2016 12:39 amSo, I went from freezing all my dinners to just refrigerating them as soon as they're made. Nothing's spoiled so far...in fact...I just found something I'd cooked a few MONTHS ago. I opened it up, didn't smell bad, didn't look bad.
No way I'm gonna eat it, though.

Date: 2016-08-06 06:08 pm (UTC)Reminds me, I've got a couple mystery boxes lurking in the freezer. =:) Old enough, though, that I think they may be more around three to five years old.. at that point, TBH, I'm not so much concerned about them being hazardous, as simply very bland.
Aaaah. You said refrigerated, not frozen. Mm, that takes more care. Something like black bean paste is immortal, probably due to the salt content, but anything cooked for consumption - even I'd be approaching that with great suspicion. =:) Fascinating how well preserved it seems to be, though. I admit I'd be sort of tempted to try it regardless, just out of scientific curiosity. =:)
I keep trying to think of you in furry terms, but of course, you don't have a species. Still, if you did.. any idea what it might be? ^_^ I'm thinking maybe clouded leopard. (I do hope the concept isn't offensive)

Date: 2016-08-08 05:56 am (UTC)I don't find the concept offensive at all, which is odd considering that, while I'm now "Furry Friendly," my first impressions of the furry community (early 90s) were REALLY bad. It was also in a professional situation so it led to me to turn my back on the comics industry and even leave most of my fandoms with "I've had enough of this."
It took a friend of mine, who I really liked, to come out to me as furry in the early 2000s, to finally give y'all even the time of day. Since then, my heart's a lot less hardened, and now I just accept furries as another facet of humanity.
Whatever it takes to get you through the day. :)
