I'm not happy with Carrie's silliloquoy. It just doesn't feel right. They're the words that needed to go there, but they feel very very selfish. "Look what I did. I'm sorry you missed it, I won't let anyone else miss it."

Although, with what's about to come up, it might be her hubris speaking. I dunno. Just doesn't jibe with what I think should go there. But again, if thre's anything I've learned - it's not to argue with the characters....

I don't know, the words seem appropriate given the situation. But there does seem to be a certain subtly missing. I'm sorry I'm not much help.

She sounds awkward - pained - in short, like a woman whose grieving and dealing with the burden of trying to be true to herself in a very disapproving environment.

Often, our most empowered moments are accompanied by words that would look really crappy on a tombstone.

Yes, this is something I learned years before I even conceived of TW. You have to let the story tell itself, and you have to let the characters act and speak for themselves. All too often, if you you try to CREATE the story, rather than TELL the story, you f*** up the story.

Let Carrie say what she needs to say, and the rest will take care of itself. ^_^
